She was born June 8, 1928 in Canada to Vera and Stanley Adamson and became a naturalized U.S. citizen. She married Ellis "Bud" McCord of West Helena, Arkansas in 1946 and they settled in Southern California where they lived for thirty years. They moved to Fort Collins in 1975 and spent many happy years being close to family. Bud died in 2003.

June is survived by sisters Doris Jacobs and Jessie Nelson of Everett, Washington, son Keith McCord of Salt Lake City, Utah, and son and daughter-in-law Doug and Anne McCord of Fort Collins, Colo. She leaves behind four grandchildren: Shannon Peery (and husband Jerran) of Loveland, and Kelly McCord, Ryan Tucker and Jordan Tucker Behne (and husband Travis) of Fort Collins. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Tyson Peery of Loveland.
